As an Accounting Professional, you would be expected to manage all local and foreign financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will ensure the integrity of the company’s governance framework and engage proactively to control costs, maximize revenue and cash flow, and support the company in achieving its financial objectives.

You will provide accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Formulation of financials for new projects 

• Audit financial documents and procedures

• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable

• Manage all accounting transactions including monthly payroll

• Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders

• Preparing budget forecasts

• Compute and process tax payments and returns

• Publish financial statements in time

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

• Handle export and import procedures

• Ensure timely bank payments

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Person Specification – Qualification and experience

 

• BSc in Accounting or a relevant degree AND full or partial qualification in CA/CIMA/ACCA/CFA with strong focus on accuracy, great attention to detail, and quality control 

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Have strong analytical and mathematical skills, a flair for spotting numerical mistakes and high level of personal integrity with the ability to work under pressure 

• Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks (desired but not mandatory)

• Hands-on experience with MS Word, Advanced MS Excel, MS Power Point

• Sound command of the English Language, both written and spoken

• Experience handling import and export procedures

• Must be an honest, ethical, trustworthy, self-motivated, energetic, and vibrant individual with a strong understanding of handling sensitive information.

• An experienced go-getter or a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, and variable environments, requiring flexibility and frequent extended varied work hours

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in business dealings at all levels

• Experience with bookkeeping (desired-but not mandatory for Management Trainees)  

• Age below 50
